Asia Rising, New Findings in Supply and Demand

Abstract

Higher education in ASIA is undergoing a profound transformation where many countries have set up ambitious goals to attract more international students. One of the results is the emergence of English Taught Programmes, ETP, at many institutions all over the region. E.g. there are more universities in China offering ETP than in Australia.
This session will take an in depth look at supply and demand of ETP in Asia, what kind of programmes do Asian universities offer and do they offer what, local and international students want to study?
Above all, this session seeks to enable institutions and policy-makers to better understand the changing Asian higher education landscape and to make informed decisions on how to respond to these trends.
